I have a recurrent dream for a long time. I walk among the mountains, through the seasons, under a purple sky, along a river that sometimes looks like the ocean. I stop in villages, I meet familiar people, loves, friendships, I create links, I thrive, I am afraid, and I feel pleasure. I am on foot or by bike, along the rocks, along the beaches, along a fortified town, or even a sewer corridor taken over by nature. I advance, I stop, I leave. I am always on the move. I find memories that never existed, I still have this feeling of being in search of something. I find lost friendships & I idealize unknown people. I cross forests, along large private estates, I sleep in barns, I play in the attics of a farm. I find my family in remote towns where I make provisions to continue this quest. Sometimes, I think of settling down and living on the edge of this ocean, this river or sometimes near this large park which hides so many secrets, but I still have to go back. I take trains, I cross countries, & no place is my home. And yet all these places reassure me by their familiarity. I see war, but my dream is peaceful. I swim far in the ocean but it always brings me back to the shore. Maybe this dream is the story of my life, my quest. The Fountain is the story of this dream.
